Diamond Engagement Rings at Rare Carat: Choose the Stone, Then the Setting

This catalog holds more than 600 diamond engagement ring designs, and every one of them is priced around a center stone you pick yourself from 698,507 natural and 1,316,499 lab diamonds in Rare Carat inventory today, 1,641,773 of them with 360 HD video. Natural stones begin at $150 and lab grown at $120 once the current savings are applied; between 0.90 and 1.10 carats the median natural round is $2,815 and the median lab round $459. The grid opens with a 1 carat lab round in every design, so the first prices you see are complete rings: the Linda comfort fit solitaire at $915, the Bellora hidden halo at $1,695 and the Vivian solitaire at $1,245, all in 14K white gold with that stone. The inventory counts and stone prices on this page were read on October 19, 2026 and are refreshed as stock moves.

Two decisions do most of the work. The first is the diamond: natural or lab grown, then shape, weight and grade, which the tables below price from live stock rather than from a guide. The second is the design, and the grid shows the same settings whichever stone you choose, so a design can be compared with a $915 lab round in it and again with a natural stone of the same weight. The shape and carat pages linked under the grid repeat this exercise for one shape or one weight at a time.

Natural or Lab Grown: The First Choice

Hold the grade and the weight still and the two origins separate on price alone. A G color VS1 round between 0.90 and 1.10 carats starts at $1,475 natural, with a median of $3,310, and at $370 lab; across every grade in that band the medians are $2,815 and $459. The gap grows with size, because large natural stones are rare and large lab stones are not, which is why the lab side of this catalog runs to 141,733 stones above 4.10 carats against 3,681 natural. Both are diamonds, graded on the same color, clarity and cut scales; 638,876 of the natural stones here carry GIA reports and 1,248,676 of the lab stones carry IGI reports, with GCAL and GIA grading the rest of the lab stock. A natural diamond buys scarcity; a lab diamond buys weight and grade for the same money, and the setting costs the same either way.

Center Stones by Shape

Round leads both columns, with 359,753 natural and 485,855 lab stones in stock, and after it the natural side runs emerald, oval and pear while the lab side runs oval, pear and emerald. The starting prices are the cheapest stone of each shape at any weight or grade, so they show where a small budget can begin rather than what a one carat stone costs; the carat and grade tables below hold weight fixed. Each shape has its own natural and lab ring page, where these designs are shown with that shape in place and priced by carat band.

Center Stones by Carat

The carat bands partition the same stock behind every diamond engagement ring here. The deepest natural band is under 0.50 ct with 307,448 stones and the deepest lab grown band is 0.90 to 1.10 ct with 247,803; natural stock thins quickly above two carats while lab stock does not. The medians are for rounds in each band so that shape does not blur the price: $2,815 natural against $459 lab grown at one carat, $13,456 against $1,434 at two, and $29,894 against $2,795 at three. Where a band has its own ring page the last column links to it.

Color and Clarity at One Carat, Both Origins

Between 0.90 and 1.10 carats, across all ten shapes, the two origins read differently on the grade ladders. With clarity held at VS2 or better, 97 percent of the lab stones on the color ladder are D to F and a D starts at $370; with clarity held at exactly VS2, 32 percent of the natural stones on the ladder are G or H, and a natural G starts at $840 against $835 for H and $935 for D. On clarity the natural ladder is held at G to H color and the lab ladder at D to F: a natural VS1 starts at $895 and an SI1 at $715, while a lab grown VS1 starts at $370 and a VVS2 at $380. The practical reading: on a natural stone, G to H color and VS2 to SI1 clarity chosen on the video is where the money is best spent; on a lab stone, D to F and VS1 or better cost so little extra that the budget goes to weight and to the setting instead.

The Settings in This Catalog

The designs fall into a few families. Solitaires such as the Linda comfort fit solitaire and the Vivian solitaire put the whole budget into the stone and suit every shape; hidden halos such as the Bellora and the Marie add a ring of small diamonds under the center where it lifts the stone without widening it; pavé bands such as the Kennedy carry diamonds down the shank; and the vine and tulip designs, the Hayden, the Vionne and the six prong Marigold, shape the metal around the stone. Every diamond engagement ring in the catalog is made in 14K white, yellow or rose gold and in platinum, and the stone you choose is shown in it before you order. Shape decides the head: four or six prongs for a round, claw or V prongs on the points of a pear, marquise and princess, and a bezel or a close basket for an emerald cut or asscher whose corners deserve cover. Our gemologists are paid no commission, and they will compare two or three stones on video with you before you decide.

What a Diamond Engagement Ring Costs Today

With the default 1 carat lab round in place, the first designs in the grid run from $915 for the Linda comfort fit solitaire to $1,695 for the Bellora hidden halo, so the settings themselves sit a few hundred dollars apart and the stone decides the rest. The budget table counts the stones the grid's price filter shows at or under each ceiling: 623,116 natural and 1,194,380 lab diamonds at $5,000 or less across every weight, and in the one carat band 70,488 natural against 248,744 lab. Put another way, a $5,000 budget in the Linda comfort fit solitaire pays for a natural one carat round at the $2,815 band median with room to spare, or for a lab round well past two carats.

Ordering an Engagement Ring from Rare Carat

Rare Carat sells every diamond engagement ring in this catalog itself, as the merchant of record, and draws on more than 2 million natural and lab diamonds to set in them. Once an order is placed the diamond travels to our New York facility, where our staff examine it under a microscope and read its laser inscription against the grading report before the setting is made. Delivery is free and insured, there is a 30 day free return window, the first resize within a year is free, and the setting carries a lifetime manufacturing warranty. Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, PayPal Pay Later and Katapult can split the price into installments at checkout, with the schedule shown before you agree. Customers rate Rare Carat 5 out of 5 on Google and on Trustpilot, where it is the highest rated jewelry brand in America.

Stone counts and prices cover every natural and every lab diamond in Rare Carat inventory on October 19, 2026 on the filter set the diamond grids use: all ten shapes, every carat weight, D to K color, FL to SI2 clarity, Good cut or better, GIA, IGI or GCAL graded, with or without video; 698,507 natural (544,536 with 360 HD video) and 1,316,499 lab grown (1,097,237 with 360 HD video), counted in one pass per origin so that the shape and carat tables add up to the headline. Prices are what you pay today with the current savings applied; each stone shows its regular price struck through. A starting price is the cheapest stone in that row at any grade or weight. Medians by carat band and the same grade comparison use rounds so that shape does not move the price; the color and clarity ladders use the 0.90 to 1.10 carat band across all shapes. Budget counts use the grid's price filter. Ring prices are the complete rings as this page showed them on October 19, 2026 with the default center stone, in 14K white gold; the design count is the page's own.

FAQs

The setting is the smaller part. With a 1 carat lab round in place the first designs on this page cost $915 for the Linda comfort fit solitaire, $1,695 for the Bellora hidden halo and $1,245 for the Vivian solitaire, complete. The stone then moves the total: natural diamonds start at $150 and lab grown at $120 with the current savings applied, and in the 0.90 to 1.10 carat band the medians across all shapes are $2,275 natural and $554 lab. The tables above give the starting price and median for every shape, carat band and grade.
